To use the services offered by the library only to members of the University community you need University identification card (TIU) or any other official document (identity card, driving licence, passport, NIE or identity card in your country if you belong to the EU).
To access in extraordinary opening dates , the following accreditation as a user will be required:
TIU: for staff belonging to the University community at the UA.
Your University ID card: for students from other universities.
Temporary external user card together with the ID card: for personnel supported or belonging to groups that have established an agreement with the library of the University of Alicante. This card is available in PuntBIU .
Is the library always open?
Only the 24 hours room remains open, located on the ground floor of the General Library with entrance from the exterior of the building, every day of the year, 24 hours a day, except on 24th and 31st December, in which it will be closed from 9.00 p.m. hours until 5.00 p.m. of the following day.
What is the usual opening hours of libraries?
The usual opening hours of libraries is from Monday to Friday, from 08.30 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Most of the services offered by the library can be used by any citizen, except for the loan service, group work rooms, and rooms with special opening hours, which are restricted to members of the University community (students, Academic and Administrative Staff), and authorized users belonging to conventions, concerts and agreements with other universities or institutions.

If I have finished my studies, can I continue using the library?
Yes, joining Alumni of the University of Alicante you will have access to the services offered by the library (group work rooms, consultation and loan of documents, use of electronic resources within the UA, bibliographic searches, etc.) on the terms and conditions set forth for each of them.
