The University of Alicante's Library has been accredited by the Spanish Agency for Quality Evaluation (ANECA) as settled by the State Secretariat for Universities (assigned to the Ministry of Education and Science) on 12 May 2006. The Libraries of the Universities of Almería, Málaga, Murcia, Seville and Complutense of Madrid have also been accredited by this Agency . Within the framework of the Valencian Community, ours is the second accredited University, since the Jaume I University, in Castellón, was awarded the first certificate previously.
On Thursday, 1 June, at 1:30 pm, at the hall of the General Library, the hand-out ceremony to award the winners of the Gincanet competition -held on 17 May to mark Internet- will be presented by the Vice President for Technology & Educational Innovation, Faraón Llorens Largo.
If you are a student, you can participate in the Gymkhana organized by the University of Alicante to mark the Internet Day.This activity is performed integrally online. You are supposed to answer 10 questions related to the search for information via the Internet. The first 25 classified participants will be awarded a prize.
