Grant from the Institut Cultural Român (ICR) to the Service of Bibliographic Information and Documentation (SIBID), University of Alicante
The Institutul Cultural Român (ICR), through the University of Alicante's lecturer in Translation and Interpreting Studies, Catalina Iliescu Gheorghiu, has given a donation to our Bibliographical & Documentary Service (SIBID) due to the entry of Romanian as a language in the Translation and Interpreting Programme from academic year 2005-2006. The donation consists of 53 books, many of them published by the ICR itself. The books comprise a wide range of subjects: Romanian language and literature, translation and interpreting, philosophy, history of Romania , Romanian art, etc. These books are placed at the Faculty of Arts-Social Work's Reference Library.
The donation will be used as basic bibliographical materials for the study of the Romanian language. Also, new acquisitions will be purchased in this regard and we hope these materials will be useful to the the whole university community as well as enriching the University of Alicante's bibliographical collection for academic and research purposes.
