Biological Abstracts, Current Contents, Cinahl, Francis, FSTA, Geobase, Iconda, Inspec, Medline and PsycInfo databases present new design and new tools:
Friendly and well-defined interface: The new functionality allows free-text and natural language search, as well as search by documentary language. It keeps simultaneous searches in all databases as well as in journals and Ovid books subscribed to by the University. It also displays results by relevance.
Different search modes: OvidSP it is aimed at all kind of users. The search mode can be selected through a tab menu: Basic search, location of quotes, search by subjects and search by fields.
Tools helping research work: It helps improve searches and other functions to reduce or enlarge results. Alert tools have also been improved, for example RSS and electronic alerts of abstracts. The abstracts are now easily accessible and moreover, search results can be noted down. All alerts, links and search results saved are available with the new interface.
