Triple Centenarian exhibition Cervantes, Shakespeare and Llull

 


The Arts Library , with reason of the celebration of the IV centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes (1547 - 1616) and  William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616) and the VII centenary of Ramon Llull (1232/33 - 1316), presents, from March 2016 to January 2017, a bibliographic sample that gathers the works of the three insignes writers as well as a relation of books that reflect the society, culture and period in which they lived.

Approach to the hall of the low plant of the General Library and will be able to enjoy of the corner of reading and the selection of books to take out in loan that have prepared. Besides, you will be able to consult the Guides of reading on Cervantes ( Work and Studies ) Shakespeare and Llull and see videos and reports on three classical of the European letters, whose thought was expressed was in Spanish, English, Latin and Catalan.

We also invite you to visit the exhibition “ Cervantes and Shakespeare : Two universal genii”, organised by the Commission of the IV Centenary (professors J. M. González Fernández de Sevilla, J. M. Ferri Coll and M. C. Irles Vicente), that will take place from 2 March to 29 April 2016 in the Room AIFOS of the building C of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.

Besides, remember that along the year the University of Alicante, under the coordination of the Office of the Vice President for Culture, Sports and Language Policies and the Faculty of Arts , will realise a wide program of activities to commemorate the IV centenary .
