Economy and environment: feminist perspective

On the occasion of Dia Internacional de la dona, the Library of Economics presents a bibliographical sample that deals with the economy from the feminist perspective, pretending with it a critical study of it, by overcoming the traditional androcentric and patriarchal optics. It includes issues such as the work of care for third parties, the importance of unpaid work and its non-negotiation, globalization and social justice, wage inequality and the "glass ceiling" and new ways of collecting and measuring data such as the Indicator of Gender Empowerment (GEM).

Ecofeminism affirms that there are important connections between the domination and exploitation of women and nature and develops theories that end with this domination and is committed to a sustainable development of the planet.
