At the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year, the University of Alicante offers (through the Vice Chancellor Office for Studies and Training) to all new students in undergraduate degrees, a special edition of the Digital Information Skills Basic Level course (CID BASIC).
This course will be accessible from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 25. It is developed online through the Moodle teaching-learning platform.
The courses on digital skills taught by the University Library are based on the European DIGCOMP model. They are structured in three levels, attending to the changing students needs, dependeng on their learning progress at the University.
The aim of this course is that the undergraduate students who begin their studies at our University can acquire the basic knowledge that will allow them to use the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) properly, as well as to locate, evaluate, use, produce and communicate the information they need in the digital environment.
You can find more information in this video.
It is important to bear in mind that the Library's catalog will change shortly (end of October), so topic 4 of this course, “The Information Search”, should be done later together with the corresponding questionnaire. Not until the questionnaire has been filled, the course will be concluded.
Once the course is finished, students with the mark " apto " will obtain a document certifying that they have passed it.
The University Library is at your disposal to answer any questions in person, in any library and at the information point (PuntBiu) or through the email account firstname.lastname@example.org
We encourage you to follow it and to participate actively.
