New library management tool at BUA


Throughout this year, at the University Library we have been working in the implementation of ALMA, a new library management platform with a new catalogue that provides multiple advantages over the previous one, since it integrates all the printed and digital collections of the BUA and allows quick access to the full text of the electronic collection directly by means of identification through UA Cloud.

The access as an identified user also allows:

To check the status of loans, renew them and make reservations.
To request digitized materials or by interlibrary loan.
To create a personal and fast access page to host personalized information.
To save records and searches to Favourites and to generate alerts.
To label titles publicly or privately.
To generate citations or export the results to a bibliographic reference manager

We consider that the use of this new tool implies obvious improvements. However, we will continue working to maximize all its functionalities.
