Bibliographical Exhibition on Amartya Sen at the Economics Library
Amartya Kumar Sen (b. 1933) is an Indian economist of Bengali ethnicity. He received the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1998 and now in 2021 he has obtained the Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences.
Sen is recognized for his studies on famines, human development theory, welfare economics and an approach to poverty from his theory of the capabilities approach.
The Economics Library has produced a brouche that collects Amartya Sen's bibliographic collection available in the BUA libraries, and throughout the month of June it will host an exhibitor with his main works.
