Signs of quality of articles

The evaluation of publications is based on some evidence of quality to be included in requests (section "signs of quality").

The signs of quality are:

IMPACT INDEX: (ANECA equates it to relative quality index )

  • The impact index of a magazine is the number of times it is cited on average an article published in it. It is an instrument for comparing magazines and assessing the relative importance of a journal within a same scientist field.

NUMBER OF CITATIONS

  • The references that other authors do papers published to the work of the applicant, be considered indicative of the importance of the contribution or its impact on the area.

PRESENCE IN DATABASES

  • Databases to evaluate the quality of magazines as a prerequisite to incorporate them into your system, why be in a greater number of databases and especially in certain very selective databases is passed more filters.

OTHER SIGNS TO CONSIDER: especially in the fields of Humanities, social sciences and legal

  • Meet criteria of editorial quality.
  • Inclusion of the journal in the ERIH Plus (Humanities and social sciences) listing.
  • Journals accredited by the FECYT.
  • Classification CARHUS Plus.
  • Classification CIRC.
