Research support: scheduled or on-demand courses

The attendance is free . Previous registration avaliable through this form .

 

Minimum of 4 persons registered is required to teach the course. Maximum number of students by group is 9.

 

The sessions, in the case of professors, will be certified upon request by the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE). In the case of the Administrative Staff, it will be added directly in their personal training record and certified upon request, by the Training and Internacionalization Unit (Selección and Trining Service).
Departments, institutes or research groups can also request courses for their research staff.

 

Usually the courses are taught in the  Support to Research and Teaching Training Room with exceptions, in the morning and / or in the afternoon.

How to increase the visibility of research production: ORCID and the researcher profile in Google Scholar

Content:

Information on the problems derived from the scientific signature in the main databases. In addition, researchers will create the researcher profiles currently demanded by funding agencies.

  • Know the problems derived from the non-standardized scientific firm.
  • Learn to normalize the signature of author and affiliation in scientific publications.
  • Know the different types of researcher profiles and register in each of them.

Six-year periods of research. Quality evidence for the publications of Science, Engineering and Architecture

Content:

In this session we will know the evaluation processes carried out by the CNEAI and the AVAP for the recognition of six-year periods in the areas of Science, Engineering and Architecture (fields 1 to 7). We focus on the criteria used to assess the publications (articles, books and book chapters) and on the tools and classifications where you can find the quality indications of these publications.

Objectives:

  • Know the criteria used by the evaluation agencies in the evaluation processes of the research activity of the teaching staff
  • Know the quality indications used by these agencies to assess the results of the research (scientific publications)
  • Identify the tools and resources of analysis and evaluation of science where to look for the quality indications of articles, books and book chapters published in the area of Science, Engineering and Architecture

Six-year periods of research. Quality evidence for Social Sciences and Humanities publications

Content:

How to search for citations to your publications

Content:

In this course we will know the main multidisciplinary databases to which we can go to search for citations to our publications and how to perform searches so as not to miss any appointment to our work.

Objectives:

  • Know and learn to use the main databases that provide us with that information (WOS and Scopus).
  • Learn to find citations to our publications from the author and from the title of the publication.
  • Learn to locate citations based on the type of document (magazine articles or books and book chapters).
