Research support: scheduled or on-demand courses

The attendance is free . Previous registration avaliable through this form .

 

Minimum of 4 persons registered is required to teach the course. Maximum number of students by group is 9.

 

In the case of the PDI, the certifications and reports issued by the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE) may be obtained electronically at the UACloud eAdministration. In the case of the PAS, these certifications will be included directly in the personnel training file (UACloud) by the Training and Internationalization Unit (Selection and Training Service) .


Departments, institutes or research groups can also request courses for their research staff.

 

Usually the courses are taught in the Support to Research and Teaching Training Room with exceptions, in the morning and / or in the afternoon.

How to increase the visibility of research production: ORCID and the researcher profile in Google Scholar

Content:

Information on the problems derived from the scientific signature in the main databases. In addition, researchers will create the researcher profiles currently demanded by funding agencies.

Objectives:

  • Know the problems derived from the non-standardized scientific firm.
  • Learn to normalize the signature of author and affiliation in scientific publications.
  • Know the different types of researcher profiles and register in each of them.

I have decided to accredit myself ... and now what? PEP Program and AVAP Accreditation

Content: In this session we will know the existing teaching evaluation agencies, and we will deepen the legislation that regulates the procedure for requesting evaluation for the hiring of university teaching staff.

Objectives:

  • Identify teacher evaluacion agencies: ANECA and AVAP
  • Detail the evaluation request procedure for hiring teachers: requirements, application, scales
  • Show the PEP program

How to search for citations to your publications

Content: In this course we will know the main multidisciplinary databases to which we can go to search for citations to our publications and how to perform searches so as not to miss any appointment to our work.

Objectives:

  • Know and learn to use the main databases that provide us with that information (WOS and Scopus).
  • Learn to find citations to our publications from the author and from the title of the publication.
  • Learn to locate citations based on the type of document (magazine articles or books and book chapters).

Where to publish my research? Criteria for choosing the magazine

Content: In this session we will know the main criteria that we must take into account in the choice of the journals to which we will refer our articles.

Objectives:

  • Know which journals are interested in a specific research topic
  • Know the quality criteria that potential journals must meet
  • Know the resources to which we must go to obtain information on these quality criteria
  • Other aspects to consider in our choice: review deadlines, periodicity, etc.

Content: In this session we will know the existing teacher evaluation agencies, and we will deepen the changes introduced by RD 415/2015, of May 29, in the accreditation procedure for access to university teaching bodies.

Objectives:

  • Know the legislation that regulates the national accreditation procedure for access to university teaching bodies
  • Detail the accreditation procedure: application, commissions, exemptions, scales
  • Show ACADEMIA 3.0 program
